Riga is the largest city in the Baltics. (over 7000 people). Some of the narrow cobble streets gives it a small town atmosphere.


This is Brivibas street. (Freedom Street). The Freedom Monument was built in 1935.The women on top of the monument symbolizes the independent Latvia state. The three stars she is holding represents the three regions of Latvia.


Riga is surrounded by a canal that was an old moat that protected old Riga. Now it is just part of the landscape
